HOW OUR BODIES GROW

The most important forces that cause growth lie inside a living thing from the beginning. These forces are called "heredity". The human body has stages of growth; embryo and foetus, infant, child, youth, mature adult, old age. People's bodies grow faster in the early weeks of life than at any time. Even before the end of the first year, they are growing less rapidly. Through the whole period of childhood, they grow at a moderate rate. Then growth starts to speed up again. All human beings are much alike in their growth, but there are important differences. Boys and girls all follow the same general pathway of growth, but each one follows it in his own way.

Preventing Weight Gain

When you see your weight moving towards the limit you have set, it is time to make changes in your daily routine that will keep you well within a healthy range.
      The three suggested steps are:
1. Move toward a plant based diet. By eating a greater portion of fruits and vegetables, whole gain and beans. You can reduce the lot of calories you consume and still feel full.
2. Keep physically active: Weight gain is often preceded an often unnoticed decrease in physical activity, getting active will help to prevent further damage.
3. Watch your portion sizes: people are advised to serve themselves a little less than they are used to and stop eating when they satisfied not when the plate is empty.
There are certain periods when one is prone to weight gain. There are times that require more rigorous changes in daily routine. Women in particular may be more prone to weight gain during three key periods connected to hormonal changes which are the onset of menstruation, after pregnancy, and after menopause.
